@vardi You are wrong. By doing this, you also deprive new students from networking. Schools don't accept funding being spent on sending students to workshops. A student works hard to get accepted by a conference. How many connections have you made by the very thing you are opposing?

@GergelyOrosz Top decision makers at Twitter suppressed people long enough. Perhaps, their ideologies need to be gone. I feel sad for lower level staff if they would be fired.

It’s happening: since Elon Musk bought Twitter he has not communicated officially with employees (email, town hall). Now the major firings have started (expected to be ~50%). My timeline is filled with great people let go. Some of these layoffs are likely breaking regulations.
