Eskom would like to indicate that there is no fault on its network affecting supply to the Roodepoort SDC area, as mentioned in the communication issued by @CityPowerJhb.
Eskom and City Power teams conducted an assessment today, 26 March 2026, at approximately 20:30, and identified that the incident relates to a flash on the white phase busbar on the City Power network.
City Power has informed Eskom that they will commence with the necessary repairs on their infrastructure.
Eskom remains available to support and collaborate with City Power to ensure safe restoration of supply to their affected customers.
Customers are encouraged to continue following updates from City Power regarding restoration progress.

Ruimsig Switching Station (Little Falls and surrounding areas): The outage is caused by cable theft and cable faults.
A collective of 20 metres of cable has been stolen between Totius 2 and Sterretjie No 3 as well as between Van Staden MSS 00431 to 3330. In addition to this, the outage is further impacted by cable faults between MSS 00431 and Coldstream MSS, as well as the existing fault between Duzi Road No. 1 MSS and the Hendrik Potgieter T4 RMU.
The team is sourcing material and repairs will begin once everything is on site.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused and kindly ask customers to remain patient as our team works towards resolving the outage.
