Ich habe mich auf Grund der Ergebnisse von @RafaelOsswald über meinen Arzt hinweggesetzt und habe mich am 10.08.21 impfen lassen (1ste Biontech). Es hat nicht mal einen Tag gebraucht das ich merkte das mein Körper endlich ein Mittel hatte um die #LongCovid Symptome zu bekämpfen.

Last thursday I went to a meeting with colleagues from across the county. I hadn't seen some of them for a year. I spent a couple of hours overall chatting, and so many of their lives are dominated by health problems. Not just the old ones. The young ones too. I was devastated by the string of horrors. One woman whose husband (40s) has been diagnosed with early onset parkinsons. One man whose wife (40s) has been wheelchair bound for four years from 'long covid/vaccine damage'. One woman whose brother, a previously healthy orthopedic surgeon (50), dropped dead from a stroke. Another woman whose husband (40s) had a stroke but didn't drop dead. One woman would have been there but wasn't because her husband has just died of bowel cancer. Two people (50s) about to retire due to health problems. One guy whose young children had both been in hospital with lung problems from persistent illness. One woman whose brother (40s) is in palliative care for a brain tumour. These were just the ones I had conversations about. This was just *the recent news*. I already knew of other people in the group who have had heart attacks and strokes and other problems themselves. I didn't speak to everyone. I think about half the people I spoke to had something big going on. Death only accounted for a small proportion of the problem. Serious illness accounted for most of it. One of the couples, the illness of the husband led to the wife's early retirement to care for him. Several of these people were previously healthy with healthy lifestyles. Not overweight, not homeless, not addicts, not ill fed, not exhausted. Just infected again and again. And some of them... it wasn't what they said, but how they looked. People can age terribly in even just a year.

As we fight for #LongCovid and for it to be recognized, Not be erased… We also have to be mindful of our wording, lot of different types of patients out there.. We are pwLC we need to use it more, instead of patients… 1983 Denver Principles came up with PWA person with AIDS…. We are not “Victims” nor will we play that role! “Patient” implies passivity, helplessness and dependence upon the care of others! We are People With LongCOVID pwLC! We are kick ass survivors fighting for survival and helping other pwLC It is not a cult, its pwLC working collectively to get out of this hell hole!! Thank You @elisaperego78 for the term #LongCovid

Exhausting to see some medical professionals and researchers trying to erase the reality of Long Covid and risking to endanger patient safety. Access to care is more important than some researcher getting more access to funding, consultancy, money, and prizes

Was für ein schlechter Artikel @DocCheck. Sie geben hier wirklich allen Mythen eine Bühne. Ich muss weiterhin alles selbst zahlen, die 3 Medikamente, die ich bekäme (BMI<25) helfen mir nicht. Und außer Ivabradin ist keines überhaupt häufig verwendet. Und dann die ewige Psyche...

#pwME hat schon mal jemand Cranio Sakral Therapie ausprobiert? Hätte ggf die Möglichkeit zu probieren. Dankbar um die Möglichkeit aber bisschen bedenken wg schwacher Halsmuskulatur.

F. leidet an Depressionen und Angststörungen. Weil er Termine beim Jobcenter nicht wahrnehmen konnte, wurden ihm und seinem Sohn die kompletten Leistungen gestrichen. Wie soll man gesund werden, wenn man Angst haben muss, auf der Straße zu landen?

Heute hat die Pflegeberatung bei uns angerufen. Aber nicht wegen mir. Sie wollte Beratung, weil ihre Tochter wohl #MEcfs hat. Die Uniklinik hat nur geschadet, da muss die schwerkranke Pflegebedürftige das Gesundheitssystem ersetzen. @ninawarken, das ist IHR Job, nicht meiner!

@pinakooklada Das ist die die mwn den Namen "Chronisch Kranke HotGirls" mit geformt hat. Mir sind da nur da noch ein paar mehr innerhalb der letzten Monate untergekommen viele sehe so aus als hätte die nur den hashtag MECFS und eine Story für eine bestimmte Zeit für Aufmerksamkeit genutzt.

Stelle gerade ne Symptomliste bzgl PC für meine Ärztin zusammen. Isoliert, also unabhängig von hEDS. Es sind 14. 14 milde Symptome (abgesehen von den teils daraus resultierenden Schmerzen, die sind nicht so milde) 14 Symptome, die nur in Kombination Sinn ergeben.

Imagine if it was season 7 of The Walking Dead and 95% of the characters didn’t think the zombies were dangerous. People just walking around getting bitten, sending kids out into hoardes of zombies, because someone told them zombie bites somehow became mild. That’s where we’re at with Covid.

Mit einem befreundeten Unternehmer gesprochen. Er sagte: "Ich kenne viele Leute, die von LongCovid betroffen sind. Niemand möchte darüber sprechen und einige wollen es sich nicht eingestehen, dass sie nicht mehr gesund sind."

“I had Covid and I’m fine”, is a statement I hear a lot. Unfortunately it doesn’t account for the hidden/delayed damage Covid causes. Some other dangerous viruses have minimal or no symptoms during the infection phase but cause major damage later. HIV can have no symptoms upon infection, for years, but lead to AIDS, HPV can have no symptoms, and lead to cancer. Perceived absence of symptoms or damage in the acute phase is not a safety net or a reason to feel comfortable catching Covid repeatedly. Avoid Covid.

Es gibt auch keinen Trend des umdenken, nur einen der immer krasseren Mist aufsteigen lässt weil sich keiner wehrt. Die Mehrheit der Betroffenen könnten das nicht oder nicht mehr. Also wo sind Verbände/Gesellschaften die sagen: "Anwalt ist bereit, wir zerreißen das in der Luft"?

"Wenn ihr das so bringt dann wird es vielen Menschen schlecht gehen!" sind da so Aussage. Joar, die die das entscheiden sagen dann, "I don´t give fuck" & bringen es raus. Das geht doch nicht mehr so weiter. Betroffene sind über dem Punkt des "Aushalten" weit drüber.

Wieso muss eigentlich immer erst alles versucht werden wieder gerade zu biegen, nachdem etwas passiert ist? Wieso machen Verbände, Gesellschaften nicht davor etwas? Ich lese immer nur Warnungen aber keine gleichwertige Ansage die irgendwo ein Wirkung dagegen zeigen könnten.
