Love both but it’s actually the opposite. Undertale very much ended by telling us the whole deal at once, which Deltarune looks like it will be doing as well.

@shorknotshork This actually goes into Toriel's actual flaws, the same intransigence that led to her abdicating and leaving means, she won't actually consider what's necessary for monsterkind, so she's just as likely to end up Dethroned for it as doing a better job than Asgore.

I mean, yes. This is a parallel to Undertale Asgore’s committal to a vengeful war against all humanity. Only when he’s really had time to stew does he realize he’s pushed away all the people he loves with his hateful obsession. But he can’t back out at that point.

@RhockoHarrison @BonesMcBlues A lot of "Authentic Kris Behavior" we hear in stories from their friends and family is tied to mischief. The things they get up to without the SOUL seem to be evil, or dangerous, at least things they're conflicted about.

@SebasitoL Based on the convo in chapter 5 prolly! Catti calls back to things like Snake Sunday and them being a “tribe” when expressing her dislike of Susie so she seems very protective over her relationships to me, and prolly fears losing the connection more than hating the romantic rival

Reading back thru previous chapters and I’m curious if it’ll ever come up that Noelle’s friends are complete assholes to Susie and Noelle does literally nothing about it. “I hope we can get along” your friends call ur crush / gf a simpleton and an animal, stick up for her 😭

Deltarune uses a lot of pitch black backgrounds, so it plays nicely with CRTs, but you gotta use Monitors instead of TVs because pretty much the entire Battle Interface is made for 480p.
