“Very unlike me, I just finished listening to the 90+ minute recorded call between Sandra and Chike, and I noticed the tollowing: Sandra never said Frank did anything wrong to her. Throughout the entire call, she never accused him of che@ting on her. Clearly, the chfating allegations she is now making appear to be an afterthought and mere propaganda. She acknowledged in the call that she is the che@ter. Very clearly and unmistakably stated. In fact, on more than two occasions, she admitted that it was not Frank's fault. She also acknowledged that he had every right to be angry. Frank was willing to forgive her if she could stop talking to Chike - something she herself admitted would be difficult, even asking Chike whether he could do without her. When the news first broke on social media, Frank even posted a picture of the two of them together in an attempt to manage the damage. The man genuinely wanted the relationship to work. He was prepared to forgive. The so-called "malice" from Frank only began after he obtained evidence that Sandra was chfating on him. It was at that point that he started withdrawing and keeping to himself. So, is anyone expecting a man who has raw evidence of his wife having sexual affairs with another man to be hugging the woman? I just don't understand what's going before our eyes. Remember, this was a secretly recorded conversation, so it was as raw and genuine as it could possibly be. Now tell me again — what exactly was Frank's offence? My brother, I genuinely pity young people today. Things have deteriorated badly. I honestly fear for what marriage will look like in the next 15 years. At this rate, it may well be heading towards extinction. —Bernard Obimma

Sometime back, I was reading an article about how minor things speak to one's personality and disposition to life. The author revealed that in recruiting people and choosing leaders, certain minor details are often considered and that many people don't pay attention to them. Here's a scenario. A process needs to be filed at a registry that closes by 2pm every day. There is an emergency brief that requires a process to be filed one day. The time is 1:40pm. The drive from the office to the registry takes a minimum of 40 minutes. By that computation, the earliest anyone attempting to file can make it to the registry is 2:20pm (20 minutes after the registry might have closed. The author suggested that when such a scenario is put before, prospective applicants for a role, they focus on other things, except their language (which he argued to be a reflection of their personality and mindset). Two candidates could have these two comments in their responses, respectively: Candidate A: "I would have been able to file if I got there before or by 2, but due to what the time is now, they would have closed/I won't be able to file." Candidate B: "The registry closes by 2 pm, and before I get there, they would have closed, but I will try and see if..." Look at the position of "but" in the two answers? According to the author, it isn't just another conjunction in that context. He argued that it tells more about the ideal candidate than a mere question of expression. One acknowledged a possibility but moved to the limitation. One acknowledged a limitation but proceeded to state a possibility or willingness to try.

Guys, if you have had a misfortune in your life or relationship, Twitter is not the place to look for sympathy (unless maybe to raise money for a medical issue). Deal with your issues offline and fix any issues you may have privately, like a man! I am Ezemmuo. I know things.

The deeper you dig in law, the more validation you find for your wealth of knowledge and the more you realise how much you do not know. I still maintain that it may never be wise for any lawyer to assert anything in the line of: "I know the law" or to look down on adverse counsel. It is a life of knowing the general rule and stumbling on endless exceptions. And if you practice wide and long enough, you will learn one of those exceptions in a hard and probably costly way. As you are bound to teach others a lesson, so are you destined to have yours learned, too. It is only a life of study and humble approach to practice that can limit the events of rude shocks that a lawyer will get.

Let’s be clear, GEJ is not constitutionally barred from contesting a fresh Four year term as President. Any law that came in place after he left office like the 2018 Constitutional amendment cannot bar him from contesting to be elected as President. He’s the only Nigerian who is allowed a fresh Four year term as President despite being a democratic President for 5 years. It is basic principle of Law that laws do not operate retroactively. The Law preventing anyone from being sworn in more than 2 times for the office President/Governor doesn’t apply to Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. He’s eligible to be voted for as President if he presents himself as a Candidate. His situation is different from the Ondo State Governor whose tenure only came after the Law has been amended.

In Patrick v. C.O.P. (2025),the SC frowns seriously at lawyers who copy another counsel's brief word-for-word without adding any input. It was held that such conduct is "totally dishonest, unethical and unprofessional" and "an insult to everything decent in the legal profession."
