The African Democratic Congress (ADC) wishes to state, clearly and unequivocally, that we remain focused on our mission to rescue Nigeria from the failure of the APC-led government and to prevent the dangerous slide toward a one-party state.
We have taken note of recent suggestions that the ADC will not produce candidates in the 2027 elections. We find such claims to be entirely unfounded, mischievous, and designed to create confusion where none exists. They have no basis in law, in fact, or in the reality of our preparations as a political party.
The ADC will present candidates in the 2027 general elections. Not just candidates, but credible, competent, and nationally acceptable candidates who are capable of leading this country out of its current crisis.
We remain a law-abiding political party, fully compliant with the Constitution and the Electoral Act. There is no legal impediment to our participation in the 2027 elections, and any suggestion to the contrary is a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and dampen the growing momentum around our party.
The ADC stands today as the primary opposition platform in Nigeria, and we take that responsibility seriously. We are not distracted by noise. We are focused on the real work, organising across the country, mobilising Nigerians who are tired of insecurity, rising costs of living, and limited opportunities, and building the structures required not just to contest, but to win.
We urge our members, supporters, and all well-meaning Nigerians to disregard these baseless assertions. The task before us is too important to be derailed by speculation.

@shelovesore Just vote @officialABAT OUT in 2027 and everything will come back to normal. The man policies dey suck Nigerians dry like Kilishi.

You guys should go to cinemas, those places are empty, people are not going to watch movies at the cinema anymore, and I don’t even blame them honestly.
1 movie ticket is about 15k, apart from popcorn
Let’s say you’re on a date and you’re paying for 2, that’s already 30k
Now include popcorn for two, that’s about 8-10k
Everything will be about 40k. All this excluding transportation
Imagine going to see a movie for almost 50k. Omo

@felixobioma87 @shehu_mahdi That's just it, Felix...... They should port to another party now. NDC, SDP etc can serve at the moment.
I can't imagine another 4 years for PBAT. Nigerians go die of suffering be dat. The man dey suck Nigerians dry like Kilishi.
English

@shehu_mahdi It's simply a trap David Mark and ADC must port now , transfer your players to another party while you remain there to rescue the soul of that party

ADC'S COURT VICTORY:
NOT YET UHURU.
THONNY PATH ON YOUR WAY:
ADC. it's members and sympathizers may have reason to celebrate today's supreme court judgement.
But looking closer at the stakes, the judgement is pregnant and a trap set for the ADC to relax.
Just consider the following issues:
1. The supreme court judgement is on interlocutory appeal and not a final judgement on the substantive suit.
2. The federal high court will continue to hear and determine the substantive suit.
3. Inec time table is time bound ,strict and irreversible because it is guided by the provisions of the electoral act.
4. If either Nafiu or David mark group looses at the federal high, an appeal to the court of appeal and supreme court is inevitable.
5. From the strict Inec time table and the unlikely hood of the matter to be disposed of up to the supreme court, even if ADC succeeded, it would have a success in futility because INEC would have gone far into its preparations and will not reverse to accommodate a late commer.
Therefore ADC must brace up. tighten its belt and prepare for more democratic and political landmines and explosives.

@lynn130415 Sincerely, the ₦5k airtime is his way of showing appreciation, and I assure you he'll do even more for you down the line. That said, you didn't sponsor him expecting anything in return, you've already played a huge role in his life, and he'll never forget it.
Airtime no bad.

I sponsored my nephew from 100 level to final year. Even during his NYSC, I was still sending him allowance.
Thankfully, he got a job immediately after service. I was genuinely happy for him.
Then he received his first salary… and what he felt I deserved was ₦5,000 airtime.
I even called his mum (my sister), only to hear he sent her ₦5,000 too.
After everything I did, 5k is actually disrespectful, not appreciation.

In 2018, I lost my job in Lagos. Hid it from family for 4 months.
Every morning, dressed up, carried a laptop bag, and left the house like normal. Sat in a buka in Yaba with free Wi-Fi applying endlessly.
One day, my dad called me aside.
“I know you lost your job.”
I froze.
He said, “I didn’t want to shame you. A man feels small when he can’t provide.”
Then he gave me ₦20k from pension, with his arthritis bills piling up. “Hold yourself. Don’t tell your mother.”
I cried that night. Not for money. But for the quiet love protecting my pride.
Two months later, a better job came.
