Roodepoort SDC Outage Update
Peter Road Substation (Willowbrook, Tresjolie, Honeypark and surrounding areas): Following investigations, operators found that three lengths of cable, approximately seven metres each, has been stolen. This is the cause of the outage affecting a large area.
The team remains on site assessing the damages. Thereafter, a contractor will be appointed to source material and oversee repairs.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused to our customers.

Peter Road Substation (Willowbrook, Sterretjie and surrounding areas): Twenty mini substations will remain off until the cable faults between Muirfield and Willowbrook are repaired.
Contractors are on site trenching to access the faults before repairs get underway.
