Since we held our 1st cleanup on Tellico Lake in 2021, our volunteers have helped to remove 17,065 lbs. of trash at four cleanups on this gorgeous lake! It takes a lot of partners to come together to make such an impact and we're so grateful! Thanks to all!

Our second cleanup in the Cherokee National Forest River Cleanup Series went as perfectly as the weather on Tellico Lake in Vonore, Tenn. on Sunday! We had 18 amazing volunteers help to remove 4,162 lbs. of trash! 🤩💪

What happens when 85 employees from Clayton's TRU White Pine facility who are pros at production come out to do a river cleanup? They remove ‼️28,696 lbs.‼️ of trash from Douglas Lake!!! 🙌💪

Clayton has been an unbelievable partner to work with, participating in two other cleanups with us earlier this year. A big shoutout to Jefferson County Solid Waste for the donated service of hauling away massive dumpsters of trash for us yesterday!

We can't thank these amazing volunteers enough...Split in half, the water-based volunteers removed six boatloads of trash while the land-based crews removed many truckloads of trash...

Not only did they bust our previous record of most trash removed at a cleanup by 2.5x 🤯, but they broke our record of most tires removed with 214 tires and most bags of litter removed with a whopping 775 bags of litter removed yesterday! 😱

Also, thanks to Carter County Solid Waste for donating the dumpster service to haul away all of that trash! Looking forward to the next stint in the Cherokee National Forest River Cleanup Series, which will take place on South Holston Lake in Abingdon, VA on Sunday, Feb. 12.

8,783 lbs. of trash removed from Norris Lake yesterday. It filled up 3.5 boatloads. What a day!! 😎 What a difference it makes using TWO boats now. Thank you SO much to the volunteers from @claytonhomes Halls who brought out 49 volunteers to make the day a spectacular one!

Thanks also to Rent-a-Dumpster (423)526-4209 for seeing us pulling trash out of the lake and offering to haul away FOUR dumpsters full of trash for us! Looking forward to our next cleanup with Clayton next week on Douglas Lake!
