In my opinion we need people that will put the rights and safety of children first.
They had the duty to inform in a timely manner.
Parents shouldn't have to beg, plead and pay for information concerning school environment. Especially when breaches occurred.

Dr. Heather Austin, the backbone of FM-OB on PEI & an incredible family doctor who I have been so grateful to work with, has announced she will be leaving PEI and closing her practice because of HealthPEI’s treatment of family doctors. I am fairly sure she will not be the last.

If a gov dept says they don’t have to take minutes during an important meeting, how long is reasonable to wait when you ask for the policy that allows that?
Days? Fine.
Weeks? Concerning.
Months? That starts to look like the policy doesn’t exist.

I know the 1st thing people will say, email them. Well, many of the MLAS do not respond to residents.
They are working on our behalf, we should be able to ask questions and get a response.

I think there should be a practice started on PEI.
Pick 2 or 3 days a week while legislature is sitting to allow residents the ability to come sitting in legislature and ask their questions personally to any of the 27 MLAS.
