@TodayIsrael @Alex43858962 I don‘t remember Sudan and Israel would have ever waged war against each other. What a tremendous peace agreement. almost like the one between Pakistan and Peru.

6/ Israel has a right to defend itself, a right to be heard, and a right like every country to exist as a nation, a Jewish State, amongst peers. It does its best, and its history is always evolving. I urge everyone to continue to learn about Israel's history. Education is key.

1/ Today marks 1 year since I began this Twitter feed, and this marks my last formal tweet in the year of learning all about Israeli and Zionist history. I've certainly learned a lot through this endeavour, and hope everyone who has been following along has learned something too.

25/ Finally, I noted this the other day from @EquusontheBuses, who Tweeted that he recently obtained this stamp and envelope from January 1957 commemorating the brief Israeli occupation of the Gaza Strip. By March, Israel had withdrawn, only to return in June 1967.

24/ The Sinai Campaign is interpreted differently by each side, but the facts are clear that the unresolved issues from this conflict led to the outbreak of the Six Day War 11 years later, in 1967.
