@JonHeyman Man, the O’s have really broken the market giving Alonso 2 more years and 50 million more than any other team was willing to. Now they pay double cost for an ok pitcher. Blame Baltimore for everything moving so slow

This is quite a haul. Prospects come without guarantees of course but this trade looks great for Rays. Via MLB, all 4 prospects join Tampa Bay’s Top 30 prospect list, according to MLB Pipeline: Forret at No. 5, de Brun at No. 6, Bodine at No. 11 and Overn at No. 20.

Nobody can say the Orioles aren’t being aggressive. Good prospects Caden Bodine, Slater de Brun, Austin Overn, Michael Forret, and a competitive balance pick went for Shane Baz. Baz has a huge arm, 3 years of control and O’s are obviously going for it in an impossible division.
