A woman just had one of these people turn up at her door DEMANDING to know if she was watching the BBC… because she didn’t have a licence. These clowns don’t even work for the BBC. They’re Capita contractors behalf of TV Licensing not the BBC itself. They have ZERO legal power to come into your house, force you to talk, or demand anything. Just say “No thank you” and slam the door. Biggest con in the UK. Don’t engage.

How do you punish this behaviour? Its reckless and antisocial, but prison would obviously be excessive. Our other options - community service, fines etc. - he would probably laugh off and ignore. Maybe we need to bring back the stocks...

@amtrusova On Reddit, victims are shamed and perpetrators rewarded. When someone misgendered me (called me a man) and I pointed it out, it was my account that got terminated. The other account was 14 yo. It's all inbred decision making, supporting hate, abuse and violence. Good riddance!

I posted one of my original paintings on Reddit. Two hours later I was permanently banned from r/MadeMeSmile for “self-promotion.” Shortly afterward, r/pics reviewed my account, removed many of my old and recent painting posts, and permanently banned me as well. What surprises me most is that the post had no links, no prices, no title of the painting, and no call to buy anything. The entire discussion was about the mood, emotions, and what people saw in the image. Judging by the comments, most people didn’t even realize I was the artist. Personally, I see a big difference between sharing art and advertising it. Anyway… here’s the painting that caused all the trouble. 🎨

Can we PLEASE normalize men approaching women again? Like... where are all the confident, respectful, emotionally mature men? Why doesn't anybody just come talk to me anymore? Not like the creep at the bookstore yesterday, obviously. He walked over while I was looking at a book and said, "Excuse me, I couldn't help but notice you're reading one of my favorite authors." First of all, why was he WATCHING me? Second? How long had he been watching me before he decided to speak? CREEPY! Third? How did he know what book I was holding? Ladies, always be aware of your surroundings. And then there was the guy at the grocery store who handed me a piece of paper with his phone number. Excuse me? So you're just walking around with your phone number already written down? Looking for victims? That's not suspicious at all. Then he just left. So now I DON'T KNOW WHERE HE IS. He could be ANYWHERE, totally hiding waiting to murder me because I didn't immediately add his number to my phone. Totally normal behavior. Last week a guy held the door open for me. Why? What was his endgame? Trapping me inside the building so he could steal my kidneys to organ thieves? No thanks! Another smiled at me while I was walking my dog. My dog. So now he knows I have a dog. Fantastic. Honestly, dating is impossible. Men never approach women anymore.
