It's been a week since our talented Sixth Form Class of 2025 received their results. Here's what they had to say about their time at Toll Bar Sixth Form and where they are heading next in their educational or working journey! ✨🌟

👣 FOLLOWING FOOTSTEPS 👣 Emma secured her Biomedical Science place at @sheffielduni with As and an A*. She will follow in the footsteps of father Andrew, who also studied at the university. “I can’t wait to go to Sheffield. It’s a lovely city where I feel really comfortable.”

LIVERPOOL BOUND 📦 Grace achieved her first choice destination, securing a place to study Law at the @LivUni after picking up AAB in PE, Business and History. “The teachers have been helpful and the class sizes made it easier to do focused work."

💥 ACCOUNTANCY APPRENTICESHIP 💥 Max will follow a different route having already started a six-year apprenticeship to become a chartered accountant with @ForresterBoyd after achieving three Bs. “It’s been a really good experience at sixth form and I’d recommend it to anyone.”

✨ NEW COURSE SUCCESS ✨ Toll Bar Sixth Form’s first A Level Dance course has seen some amazing results for our students! Neve has accepted a place at the prestigious @ItaliaContiUK after achieving an A in Dance! “Dance was such an interesting course and also really fun.”

“I’ve loved it here." 🌟 Heidi achieved As and Bs. She will study International Relations & Politics at the @sheffielduni, her first choice destination. “I’ve made new best friends. It was closer to home and I felt the resources were more modern with specialised staff.”

⭐️ APPRENTICESHIP BOUND ⭐️ Alex and Charlie secured degree apprenticeships at Morrisons and KPMG. Charlie said: “I’m going to be based at the Leeds office and it’s a five-year course." Alex added: “I’ve enjoyed the environment here and small classes which has helped me focus."

“I can’t stop shaking!” 🎉 Elsie-Mae picked up an A in Criminology meaning she has secured her chosen place at @LSTheology! “I’ve been at Toll Bar since Y7 and loved my time here. The staff have been the best.” Enrol here: tollbarmatsixthform.co.uk/enrolmentform

🌟 “I’m absolutely buzzing and could not be happier!” Huge congratulations to Sam who was delighted with his A, B, B results in Geography, History and Media! He is now heading to Edge Hill University in Liverpool to study Film and Broadcast Production!

Thank you to everyone who supported the Macmillan coffee morning fundraising. Together we raised over £200. The Sixth Form Student Leadership Team and Staff Wellbeing Team are very grateful for your support. The winner of the Starbucks hamper was Mrs Taylor.

Y12 Biology students enjoyed a 2 day residential at the Cranedale Centre in Malton last week. The trip gave them the opportunity to practice their fieldwork techniques across a range of habitats, guided by an expert ecologist.
