People forget that in the 1990s, Britain was the fourth biggest manufacturing economy in the world. Through the 1990s the number of jobs in manufacturing *increased*. From 1993 to 1998, British manufacturing employment increased from 4.1 million to 4.3 million. Not unrelatedly, across the same timespan, electricity prices dropped by 22%. Our manufacturing crisis today is above all an energy crisis.

But this is a complete fantasy? We'll still be the same club with the same issues when the takeovers finally done and a complete reset in 2 months with transfer restrictions isn't going to happen.
Also on minus 15 points in league 1 and turning down Bannan is ridiculous.

I do think a fresh start is needed. I've seen reports of players coming back etc. and whilst this isn't anything on their ability, I really just want us to make a full fresh start. A complete reset is needed

Very odd that this geographic statistic is being turned into a racial thing. It's almost like the regional inequality that the Thatcherites stone baked into the economic model might look bad if you actual examine why, rather than palming the problem off onto woke

@Tom141102 Fortune can change very quickly. When Kirchner was busted we were literally hours away from extinction then Clowes came in and we literally started rebuilding straight away. It's crap but does get better.

@Mr_Gillanders And finally, it is literally all down Chansiri's stubbornness, arrogance + mismanagement. So the club being in further trouble because we can't pay him off feels rotten.

@Mr_Gillanders I think most would accept a business plan if it safeguarded the club and gave us a sporting chance next season however it may push the preferred bidder away (and then what?) which is what's making everyone jittery.
