Insane story. A school district in Long Island covered up a watermelon painting on the personalized parking spot of a high school senior after complaints from pro-Israel parents. The student sued, alleging 1st amendment violation. The judge found that the student had a case and urged the school to settle. An initial agreement of $100k + apology was reached. Then the school reneged on the apology and paid an extra $25k instead - all to avoid admitting that expressions the Palestinian identity are not hate speech.

Someone at a coffee shop in central Israel noticed a religious Israeli wearing a yarmulka with the flags of Israel and Palestine and called the Police on him. The Police detained him, cut off the Palestine flag from the yarmulka and then released him. mako.co.il/news-israel/20… The Israeli Police under Ben Gvir has largely stopped upholding the law (actual crime is out of control) and is functioning as a right-wing repressive organ.

The Karpatska Sich Battalion, known for using the Totenkopf and glorifying Nazi collaborators, supported participants in a hand-to-hand combat competition who, for some reason, are dressed in T-shirts with a Nazi eagle. The message was posted on the brigade’s official Facebook page (!), where ‘national traditions’ were praised😳 What does Commander-in-Chief Zelensky have to say about this? Mr. Merz, do you see this?
