@Artemisapphire I've noticed that if I turn up somewhere mid-market looking shabby, they can be a bit sniffy. On those rare occasions I've unexpectedly found myself going somewhere posh and I'm dressed like a tramp, there isn't even the flicker of an eyebrow. Class in England is complicated.

Generally speaking the rich ones wear coral trousers and tweed, except when wearing jeans and a t-shirt, and the not rich ones wear a North Face jacket, and jeans and a t-shirt That's pretty much the only major difference

It's always worthwhile reading @TomCW99's posts and novels. His Burke series of novels about a British secret agent in the Napoleonic Era are a delight.

I hate the ‘screens are evil’ howls you hear all the time, but this post looks at the issue in a more balanced way. I may not agree with all of it, but it is worth thinking on. #MondayBlogs
