Lovely to have been able to speak to the Church Music Society about my research on Kenneth Leighton at their AGM today

My last Sunday after 2 happy years at @ChristChurchESh. Grateful for being able to lead the music in a supportive and appreciative place working with @SheenJesusSheen. There’s a lovely job here going for someone who will take it into the next chapter!

@RevRichardColes Does your piano only have a bottom C, rather than an A? You should have three notes left over!

Great to have been able to contribute to the latest @RSCMCentre Church Music Quarterly on #Stanford’s music in his centenary year. Wonderful to see all the awards for @newportcath @ChoirNewport and @EmmaGibbins2 too!

@wjbdawes Bit of a tangent and a controversial opinion perhaps but I really find adding a text to an orchestral work problematic! It superimposes meaning which the composer didn’t intend it to have… I have no problem with a vocalise though!

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Thomas Coxhead as our new Director of Music. Tom is currently in South West London and previously held posts as Assistant Organist at Ripon and Brecon Cathedrals. Tom will start in September, at the start of the new choir year.

Scrolling past this I thought for the briefest of seconds this was @JeremyClarkson (it’s the jacket and jeans)… not sure if Clarkson really is planning to explore a career as a concert pianist but who knows.
