🔥 VIRGINIA BEACH: “You’re never going to find a right way to do the wrong thing… be the good guys, while you still can.” A local dad speaks up against anti-LGBTQ student policies.

@fatih We have the same issue. Thinking of sending generated files somewhere (where?) during the build process, identified by the git commit hash, like we do for sending docker containers that hold our binaries to our docker registry. Looking for ideas.

Is there a world where Protobuf generated files don't cause a git conflict? Git handles the proto files fine, but sucks at resolving the generated Go files.

@danicat83 Hello Daniela. I found your PacGo project very helpful when mentoring... and I'd like to not mispronounce your name when crediting you at GopherCon next week. If you wouldn't mind replying or DMing, I'd much appreciate it. Thx. gophercon.com/agenda/session…

was delighted that NYTimes crossword (from a few weeks ago) answer to "Tripping" was "HIGHAF"... until I realized it was actually "ONACID"

Seeing this a LOT in resumes lately --> "lead" instead of "led" when talking about leading in the past tense. "led" does look weird. And my brain is now starting to read "lead" as the new way to spell "led"

7 days ago, they said this: "We are making progress and have partial connectivity to the database server. Engineers are currently testing the server and preparing a restoration path."

Would love to be in the post-mortem over at GotSport... if there is a "post". This system that powers seemingly a lot of soccer scheduling has been out for A WEEK. They are not even providing daily updates at this point🤔

@alexxubyte Print statements do the trick very often. I got used to no debugger when Go was new... I think there is one now, but I've gotten too used to Printf(). Also, Printf() works in all my environments. : )

2/2 ...but then I'm riding my bike later and my brain is like "California Dreamin"... "Such a Winter's Day"... BEACH BOYS? Wait a minute. What are they up to here? And how did I not notice this before?

1/2 A live version of "Punk Rock Girl", by the Dead Milkmen, came across my FB feed the other day, and I was appreciating the lyrics, yet again, as I had done back in the day...

People often confuse the positions of knee and the ankle in most animals. Counscious of this, illustrator Satoshi Kawasaki imagined what would happen if human legs were drawn using animals' skeletons as a base. [human -> dog -> horse -> flamingo] source: buff.ly/2NSSWmX

I spent some time creating a git log format that is concise but informative. Curious if others have something similar. alias gitlog="git log --graph --all --pretty='format:%C(auto)%h %C(cyan)%ar %C(auto)%d %C(magenta)%an %C(auto)%s'"
