@Sheldon4Ward4 @CalgaryRecall @RobWardCGY Well, lookie here, this bozo isn’t even elected yet and is already picking fights. Bringing that gift of confrontation to council, Sheldon? Lord knows we need more conflict there 🙄

@CalgaryRecall @RobWardCGY Excuse me? What bullshit is it that you believe in trying to feed you? There is nothing I’ve said that I can’t substantiate and have been wholly transparent in my answers.

Here's a piece of literature by me, suitable for seventeen-year-olds in Alberta schools, unlike -- we are told -- The Handmaid's Tale. (Sorry, kids; your Minister of Education thinks you are stupid babies.) John and Mary were both very, very good children. They never picked their noses or had bowel movements or zits. They grew up and married each other, and produced five perfect children without ever having sex. Although they claimed to be Christian, they paid no attention to what Jesus actually said about the poor and the Good Samaritan and forgiving your enemies and such; instead, they practised selfish rapacious capitalism, because they worshipped Ayn Rand. (Though they ignored the scene in The Fountainhead where “welcomed rape” is advocated, because who wants to dwell, and also that would have involved sex and would de facto be pornographic. Well, it kind of is, eh?) Oh, and they never died, because who wants to dwell on, you know, death and corpses and yuk? So they lived happily ever after. But while they were doing that The Handmaid’s Tale came true and Danielle Smith found herself with a nice new blue dress but no job. The end.

@kourtpenner I don’t even live in your ward and I’m going to donate to candidates running against you. I don’t agree with you and your vision and believe you are unfit for this job. I respect your presence and commitment but I don’t think you are capable, we need change on council.

I signed the Calgary on Purpose pledge. As your non-party affiliated candidate: -I will work across partisan lines -I will seek out voices who aren't always the loudest -I will uphold safe spaces for myself and others on my social media accounts. #yyccc calgaryonpurpose.com/pledge

On March 23, a video began circulating online of a safety incident involving a woman at a downtown CTrain station. Calgary Police have shared that the man responsible for the incident was found and taken into custody within 25 minutes of the incident. As Mayor, City Administration and myself remain focused on ensuring that all members of the community feel safe using public transit and accessing city services. Calgary Police and our Peace Officers work consistently to improve public safety in our city — including increased security presence along transit lines. Additionally, there are many ways that Calgarians can notify emergency services about concerns. If you need to report an safety or security issue, which includes disorder, harassment, and infrastructure (such as glass, ice or coverings), Calgarians can:
✅ Use the help phone/button on CTrains and platforms to contact a transit agent who can notify transit peace officers and emergency services.
✅ Send a text to 74100 with your concern. Those using this service should provide as much detail as possible about their location and situation.
✅ If you or those around you feel that your safety is threatened or that you are in immediate danger, call 911. calgarytransit.com/rider-informat…

@kourtpenner Well I guess someone has to be. Certainly not the majority of Calgarians, though.

It makes no sense for me to harbour a grudge for the rest of my life. Does that mean I agree with him on absolutely everything suddenly? No. But I'm not going to stew in resentment -- like you and others seem to want me to -- when I can be doing other productive things in life.
Sher@Sherchic

@yycDevT @JeromyYYC Have you not been paying attention? He was a fake conservative who in the end sided with Nenshi. He is for the global agenda and the global agenda is changing our rezoning and removing property rights.

Why does Kourtney Penner engage in discourse then disable responses? As an elected official, you’re gunna get trolls, sure, but you also disallow people with their picture and name from responding. I fear she disables out of a hubris or lack of knowledge to explain/discuss.
Kourtney Penner@kourtpenner

This narrative is neither helpful nor bearing of any truth. Any spending on other projects would not have guaranteed that there would not have been a failure of a line not slated for replacement. This isn’t a fault of anyone or misplaced priorities. The blame needs to stop.

Every parent’s worst nightmare is watching their child struggle to breathe, which I did for a week until today. I cannot thank the staff of @AHS_media at the Peter Lougheed Centre enough for their passion, their care and their above and beyond humanity. I am forever grateful.

@LoubardiasMedia You’re a class act. Thanks for taking 10 minutes out of your day for a young man calling his first ever hockey games at the Mac’s Midget tournament over 10 years ago. You treated me as an equal, and when I was broadcasting AJHL hockey games, you were my standard. Thank you.
