George Lawler powers his way over for Castleford and it's about to be 24-14. Wigan potentially on the end of another shock result of the season here.

@hjpm2002 @CamDonDuncan @OutOnTheFull22 Noble turned Wigan into a team of semi final losers. Definitely progress but he had more than 3 years. Maguire made them champions in an offseason. I think giving noble credit for Tomkins is generous. He was good at the Bulls though. No doubt. Smith made Leeds and Wire winners.

@TomKRegan @CamDonDuncan @OutOnTheFull22 Fined heavily For breaching the salary cap in 2006 and he brought through the likes of Sam Tomkins at Wigan and he turned out alright he also took a crusaders side to the playoffs his legacy is cemented as the greatest British coach for a reason mate

There are plenty of ways you can measure the success of a coach, but these are my top 10 coaches of the Super League era

@CamDonDuncan @OutOnTheFull22 Yeah he steadied the ship. But by the end he clearly wasn't getting everything out of that team. I'm just saying I wouldn't pick him as the best ever.

@hjpm2002 @CamDonDuncan @OutOnTheFull22 Possibly. I'd be interested to know how much say he had over personnel. But as a coach Maguire turned them into something else entirely over one off season.

@TomKRegan @CamDonDuncan @OutOnTheFull22 He also built the team that Maguire took to grand final glory the same way Brian Smith built Matty Elliots bulls team that went and won the comp the year after smith left.

@hjpm2002 @CamDonDuncan @OutOnTheFull22 This doesn't address what I said. Noble post Bulls isn't great. Did Noble not inherit a good team? they made a grand final before and won the cup the year before. I am skeptical of McDermott. And this is in the context of who is the best coach ever. I'm not saying they're bad.

@TomKRegan @CamDonDuncan @OutOnTheFull22 Noble made 5 grand finals in a row from 2000 to 2006 winning 3 in that period and the same period saw us become world champions 3 times under noble we never lost a world club challenge and the difference between noble and Brian Mac is one inherited a great team and one built one.

@CamDonDuncan @OutOnTheFull22 yeah Smith should be number 1 for me. I don't see how it can be Noble at number 1. Look at how much more Maguire got out of basically the same players.

@OutOnTheFull22 Looking at the list I’d have to say Tony Smith is underrated. All the others include an era of dominance with a great side. Tony Smith built multiple great sides at different clubs.

Awesome team. Who are the best players not to feature? Robbie Paul, Iestyn Harris, Joe Vagana, Tommy Martyn, Paul Anderson, Anthony Sullivan, Terry Newton, Alan Hunte, Leon Pryce, Tevita Vaikona off the top of my head. Who else in the running for the next XIII? #rugbyleague

This month is the 30th anniversary of the @SuperLeague to mark the occasion, I’m selecting an ultimate 17 from each decade, starting with 1996-2005

Only 4,827 at the Accu Stadium yesterday for Huddersfield vs Hull KR. That's a concern.

@SteveMascord What is the Corey Hall thing? Probably proving your point but I googled it and couldn't see anything.

Classic example is last night: just another game. Nothing special about it. But the Corey Hall thing doesn't happen every day. It's undoubtedly the most newsworthy thing about the game. If you're writing for a wide audience it's your lead. If you're writing for RL fans, it's not.

@johnnyddavidson So to reply seriously, 'imagine that' Yeah, I imagine picking him over Harry Smith, Lewis or Williams wouldnt have made much difference given Australia are generally a lot better than us.

Jake Connor put on a real show in Las Vegas. Imagine if one of the most skilful and creative players got picked for England? Nah. That’s insane.

The game last night confirmed a few things: - The World Club Challenge is a fantastic event and can provide huge drama and entertainment. It needs a permanent spot in the calendar every year. Credit to both KR and the Broncos. - NRL clubs will be fighting over Willie Peters even more. England should make him their coach. - Jez Litten gets better and better. - Hull KR's rise has been remarkable. From relegated in 2016 and at the bottom of Super League in 2020 to best club team in the world now. - Brisbane landed in the UK 10 days before and spared no expense while here. They played their full team but came up against a fired-up opponent at their best with a strong crowd behind them. This was far from any 'trial'. Playing in UK conditions in February is no easy prospect.

@greggrosenthal If they're going to copy anything Spurs is not a bad choice, probably the best stadium I've been to.

@TomKRegan @esjesjesj You people are so retarded.. 65 million and 62 million in 2016. Sometimes people fucking come out and vote, sometimes they don't. Thats how voter engagement works.
