When we won the league at Highbury in 1953, Arsenal were 3-2 up at home to Burnley and manager Tom Whittaker didn’t watch the last 10 minutes. He went to his office for a double brandy and waited for the final whistle because he couldn’t bear it.

If Arteta had spent as much time asking for opposition players to be booked as Hurzeler and had come out with those post-match comments, this app would have exploded. He's one of the most unlikeable managers in the league.

Been clear how little respect Arteta has for Hurzeler since his gaslighting around the Rice red card last season. Has every right to be fuming at the nonsense he's come out with tonight.

The team at the bottom of the league just took seven points from their last three home games against Arsenal, Villa and Liverpool, scoring in stoppage time in each. Sounds like a pretty competitive league to me.

This is the stage of the season where substance matters entirely over style. Arsenal aren’t accountable to neutrals watching Super Sunday who don’t like goals being scored from corners. The job today - as it is in all of Arsenal’s remaining matches - is to win. That’s it.

Can't believe how badly we've been managing games and/or leads this calendar year. It's basically a different team to what we were watching August-December.

Arsenal won that because David Raya is an elite goalkeeper and Robert Sanchez is the complete opposite. Huge win that.

Gyokeres’ most other impressive game before today was probably Newcastle away and that was a game where Eze looked brilliant too. Difficult to draw too many conclusions today against such woeful opposition but it feels like that partnership hasn’t had enough gametime together.

Not sure Mark Clattenburg blaming Vinicius for celebrating his goal and saying he’s made the referee’s life difficult is a good look here. What on earth is he going on about? Extraordinary thing to say, twice, on TV

13 goals in all competitions and counting for Viktor Gyokeres. Well on course to get past 20 this season which would have been seen as a solid return when he signed. Squad management today was spot on - bringing him on when space opened up benefited him and Martinelli hugely.
