Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter is now being taught at Harvard Kennedy School as a lens to study race, class, immigration, gender, and the gap between the American Dream and reality. The course is titled: “Ameriican Requiem: Beyoncé, Benefits & the Gap Between Promise and Delivery.”

The Library of Congress has selected Beyoncé’s ‘Single Ladies’ to be added to the National Recording Registry for preservation. The registry chooses recordings based on their “cultural, historical or aesthetic importance in the nation’s recorded sound heritage.”
