@cilliandoyle87 @The_Emmo Will she also go to places like Argentina, where the president has praised Ireland? Or will she only go to visit Jew-hating political leaders, to placate Jew hating cunts like yourself?

@The_Emmo This comes across like an agenda in search of a story. A product of too many IT journos hanging around the Dáil bar and the corridors of LH.

@hughjasshugeass @DavQuinn No amount of braindead waffle from you will change the fact that it was a decision made locally by local politicians, government dail and Seanad. We could have said no and refused to sign the treaty. Our elected representatives CHOSE not to do this. Nobody forced them.

@TomRyan1977 @DavQuinn Passage of time has everything to do with it. Nothing changed in the months in between, we were just asked to vote again on the same things. And why are you regurgitating the same nonsense? Our govt was forced/coerced/instructed (pick whatever you like) by the EU to re-run

So, Hungary under Orban was an 'undemocratic, autocratic country' in which the opposition has somehow, despite this, managed to win a landslide victory. Strange that.

@hughjasshugeass @DavQuinn What does the passage of time have to do with it? He referenda youre talking about were proposed by the government and endorsed by the Dail and Seanad. Nobody “forced” them to do so. It was their political choice. End of story.

@TomRyan1977 @DavQuinn Once again, youre being wilfully obtuse and ignoring the key point i made. Read my last comment again 'in quick succession'. Divorce and abortion referendums were generations apart. The two im referring to were railroaded through a year after each was initially rejected

@hughjasshugeass @DavQuinn We had two referendums on abolishing PR. Both defeated. We also had two rerereneums on divorce and abortion. Was Ireland “forced” to have those reruns? No, it was a political choice to hold them. Just like it was a political choice to hold the referendums youre whining about.

@TomRyan1977 @DavQuinn Why are you being so wilfully obtuse? Im referring to us being forced to RE-RUN referendums in quick succession, namely nice and lisbon. The people rejected both and yet were made to vote again. Who the fuck do you think made the govt go down this path? The tooth fairy???

@hughjasshugeass @DavQuinn We’ve had about 30 referendums since independence. Were we forced to hold all of those too? Or did the government of the day decide to hold them? (Are you an utter moron or something…?)

@hughjasshugeass @DavQuinn You’ll have to ask them. But it was a choice, plain and simple. Nobody was “forced” to hold another referendum.

Unforgivable how little contrition or condemnation there was by European and US leaders following this horror. Barely covered by western press. If they’d been European, American or Israeli children the world would have (rightfully) stood still.
Malachy Browne@malachybrowne

Since the US bombed a school in Minab, killing over 170, children have been identified using parents' DNA, and returned to them for burial. Heartbreaking story by @stephglinski, Mohammad Mohsenifar. foreignpolicy.com/2026/04/03/min…

@SenatorMcDowell @JohnSimpsonNews @BerryCathal Michael, get a fucking grip. Crude offensive jokes do not equal insanity or that he is “unable” (word used in Article 25) to do the job. A strip-mall huckster lawyer could tell u this, so you know it too.

President Trump has posted this picture on social media of himself as Christ healing the sick. I’ve long given up saying how hard it is to think of any previous US president who behaved like Donald Trump, but comparing himself to Jesus puts him on another level altogether.

Meanwhile we have the EU and its yawning democratic deficit, its forcing countries to rerun referendums and its silence when Romania cancelled an election that didn't suit it.

Three types are against the Iran war. 1. People like me who have become wary of attempts at regime change. 2. Those who hate Trump so much they want Iran to win. 3. Those who are flat-out pro-Iran which includes the crazies on the left.

Not sure that Irish public know that at a time of global fossil fuel crisis IRL may turn away tankers & offer them to the global markets & that the refinery will run out of storage so again may turn away supplies. Protesters have every right to protest but not harm the country

Talk about awful timing! Apparently the government intend to move the writs for the Dublin Central and Galway West bye-elections next week. I could see at least at least two government candidates losing their expenses as things stand. #b226 #dubc #galw
