Some thoughts on #NUFC U18's performance against Sunderland U18, including thoughts on players you may never have heard of: Ezra Tika-Lemba (RB, 18) is physically very impressive. Not amazing on the ball but defensively strong, doesn't let attackers breathe, good assist when pressing high, getting around the defender and hitting a good area. Isaac Moran (CB, 17) is tall, and has brilliant recovery pace. Sunderland player was bearing in on goal and Moran recovers almost from nowhere to prevent a goal. Sammy Pinnington (RW, 17) is a brilliant dribbler with a low centre-of-gravity and has very positive attacking instincts, can work on decisions at times but sometimes you want a player like him to not lose his adventurous edge (3 goals, 6 assists in 14 apps at U18 level). Kacey Wooster (ST, 17) is a chance magnet. Movement is brilliant and should have scored more than just his winner. Strikers who consistently create/arrive in chances will always score goals, hence his record (8 goals in 12 U18 games).

Jacob Ramsey has seriously stepped up recently for #NUFC and deserves a lot of credit. He's played all sorts of roles in recent weeks and has consistently been tidy and nothing but excellent in all of them. Starting to really come into his own in black and white.

Michael Mills scored his first goal for #NUFC’s U21s tonight. The 17y/o winger joined the club in 2023 from Port Vale for around £200,000. Great to see him developing well after a couple of injuries; he’s someone from our academy who I think could make it to a good standard.
