I don’t think Saleh’s justification is illogical by any means. It makes sense. I also know that at least some of the veterans would tell you this approach is wack. Somebody once told me that rookie minicamp is supposed to make you wonder if you actually want to be in the NFL!

Saleh said call it a scar: he was on the staff that saw 3rd overall pick Dante Fowler tear his ACL on the first day of Jaguars rookie minicamp. His justification for not making his draft picks work is that they’ve been under a lot of stress away from football work this spring, and their bodies aren’t ready to dive back in yet.

I really think the Carnell Tate 40-time discussion is stupid for a lot of reasons. 1. LOTS of WR1s in the NFL run in the 4.5s. 2. His tape does not show a WR who lacks for speed or struggles to separate from defenders at all (9 catches of at least 40 yds in 2025) (continued)
