Sunset Ridge Country Club William Diddel - 1923 Private Michael Jordan famously played 36 holes here with Jeremy Roenick, drank 10 Coors Lights, and then scored 50 on Cleveland. Chicago clubs have the coolest stories. Half include MJ 😂 The golf course is quintessential American parkland and that’s a great thing. The trees are in play, but they have removed plenty so it’s very manageable. You can always recover and much of the time you can have a shot at the green. The rough is tough, but fair. The water hazards are used sparingly, but very in play when they appear. All easy to avoid if you play conservative, but add a risk element if you play aggressively. The conditions are pure. Mint greens, mint fairways, really tight fairway run offs. The greens rolled so true you just felt like you could hole everything. (I may have dropped a few.) Had an absolute blast. The service is great, the caddies were awesome, great locker room and great food. Just an awesome day with good friends.
