@JJeffrey100 John himself is worth $3B and his family is also in that range too. LVCVA and MLB are all backing the ballpark and have verified the money is there on the Fishers end. If that wasn’t the case, you think the construction you see would even be allowed to happen?

@Tom_Seline read my other post. with all the loans and credits, they're about $1B in funding. budget is $2B. so either the family liquidates to cover it or they need more funding.

@JJeffrey100 What?? The NV Gov approved $380M in 2023. US Bank and Goldman Sachs are loaning another $300M. Aramark is pitching in $175M. While Fisher and his family cover the rest. The banks said the money is there and so did the LVCVA and the MLB board all said the money is there.

Understandably, with the news of Greg McDermott’s retirement, the focus is on what he did at Creighton. I keep thinking about what he didn’t do: He didn’t leave. He proved Creighton has everything needed to win consistently at the highest levels. He proved Creighton can be a destination job.

In all seriousness, when is the documentary covering the rise of Creighton’s basketball program going to be created? It’s one of the most remarkable stories in college basketball over the last 30 years and it deserves to be told in that format.

I must also add this...if you were born in the mid 90s thru the late 2000s, this will only be your 3rd Creighton Basketball Coach in your lifetime. Dana Altman was from 1994-2010. Mac from 2010-2026 and now Huss. Talk about stability!

Greg McDermott took a Missouri Valley League school and made them a powerhouse in a basketball centric conference He should have a statue outside of CHI for eternity. It’s a sad day for the Creighton Bluejays, but also a day to celebrate Coach.

@OmahaIsNebraska Plus was HP “better” this year? Maybe…I’d say similar to last year when they made the tourney for the first time. Only difference was this years HP team won a game in the tournament.
