🚨 HOME DEPOT IS “ROUNDING DOWN” YOUR CHANGE - AND KEEPING THE DIFFERENCE. HOW IS THIS LEGAL??
This man says he paid at Home Depot and his change was supposed to be $10.51… but the cashier tried handing him $10.50.
When he asked where the penny went, she told him:
“We don’t have pennies. We round it down.”
Translation:
Home Depot keeps the leftover money - not the customer.
He pushed back, demanded a manager, and after a whole argument they finally handed him a nickel just to make him leave.
His line says it all:
“You don’t keep my money.
You want to round?
You round UP.”
There are still hundreds of millions of pennies in circulation. There is zero excuse for rounding down except one:
They know most people won’t notice.
And if that happens across thousands of transactions a day?
That’s not a “penny issue.”
That’s a corporate skim.
Is this just bad policy - or a quiet way for corporations to pocket millions one penny at a time?

@NadineGNess A Vancouver McDonald's charged 25c bag fee when I ordered an ice cream cone at the kiosk. I ordered at counter instead to avoid the extra charge.

Edmonton, are you ok?!
I just went through McDonald’s drive through for breakfast and was asked if I wanted a bag for 15 cents which I answered no a bit confused thinking I don’t need the big bag the pancakes comes with. They then proceed to hand me everything on a tray for me to fumble through and grab while passing it onto my kids.
The lady said it’s only in Edmonton and that the city is forcing them to charge 15 cents for the paper bags your food comes in, even the small ones.
Wokeism makes life harder and more expensive for everyone.
