@SangilloJohn John, no one of importance takes you serious. Criticizing a guy who works with tons of pros when you have no clients at the top level of the game is embarrassing. Keep working with your youth players and stop criticizing a guy who coaches some of the best MLB hitters.

If your explanation is “tilt a Ferris wheel into a merry-go-round,” you’re not explaining how the body moves. You’re explaining a picture. Real movement is:
rear hip internal rotation /forward center mass/front-side stabilization/ rotational acceleration This is not a free-floating circular model. So telling an athlete to “tilt a Ferris wheel into a merry-go-round” doesn’t explain movement. That’s a creative visual. It’s just not how the body produces force. If this is how you understand movement, there’s a reason high-level environments don’t and will not take you serious.

A great view of the gears. The Ferris wheel into the merry go round.

@LoJackHustle @Teacherman1986 Stupid response. He has posted these details many times over the years. Be grateful he gives so much away for free. If you don't have an open mind to learn, ignore or block him.

Hotel Boredom: Let’s talk tee. Many orgs have eliminated tees in favor of ‘more game like training’. I’m about to prove them wrong. I know as I write this they aren’t interested. This is for you…..the player. You MUST take control of your mind. You MUST analyze everything you’re being told. You’d think mlb orgs, who are at the top of the talent chain, would also be at the top of instruction chain. They are not. So……

My first interaction with the legend in his own mind, Teacherman. I’ve never followed him and honestly couldn’t care less about his hitting theories. But he trolled me and started the confrontation. The problem for him was simple—I dismantled every argument he made, and many times he ended up proving my points himself. BUYER BEWARE. Richard uses cherry-picked video clips trying to prove his system works. Video can say anything if you select the right clip. For every example he posts, there are hundreds showing the exact opposite. When a man claims he’s right and everyone else in the game is wrong… calls players who played at the highest level morons and low IQ… and then posts videos that contradict his own claims—you should seriously question what he’s selling. Honestly, he deserves to be banned from my feed. But I’m keeping this conversation visible so people can see exactly how unhinged this man really is. Be careful where you spend your money.

Parker, stop with the “I’m seeing the ball well.” If you were, the results would show it. The most important thing in hitting is separation — it must be completed at release or just after the pitch is released. That’s timing and pitch recognition in one move. If you’re fouling off too many pitches, your hands are getting under the ball too early. Get the hands to the ball out front. GO TIGERS!

@Teacherman1986 Your stuff doesn’t work. I’ve rebuilt too many high school swings in West Michigan that came out of your system. When a method leaves a trail of broken hitters, it’s not instruction — it’s damage. #toobusyunfuckingwhatufuckedup

@gritnj @TomoLancer Hard to believe that you HLP protégés believe a guy that claims HE SAW Bonds snapping his wrist while standing “ one legged “ on video lol. And he never has shown a photo or slow motion video of Bonds ACTUALLY doing those things, hilarious!

@TomoLancer @gritnj Ignorance is saying and believing a hitter is “one legged” when he launches his swing, and it’s clear that he has weight distributed on both legs.

@theswingman444 @gritnj Its a cue. Been used in HLP for 10+ years. Because what you just said is way more words than "One Legged". If you put the time in to study what is being taught, you would understand the terminology and cues. The baseball world (even non hlp) is full of it.

@TomoLancer @gritnj How does having MORE weight on one leg = being “”one” legged? Why not just say that he has more weight on his rear leg at launch? Why try to make it appear that you’ve come up with some revolutionary way of hitting when you haven’t?

@theswingman444 @gritnj At launch he is one legged. Weight always needs to transfer, but at launch, more weight is on rear leg than front - thats one legged.

@gritnj Not sure what you mean when you say “ one legged “, but it’s clear that he transfer weight forward into the front leg . The key to understanding how the weight is distributed is to look at the belly button, that’s a good indicator of where the body’s center of mass is located.

@CRAIG_LAPINER @gritnj Those stats at a DII, regardless of injuries, clearly show a swing that is no where close to where it needs to be. Imagine criticizing HLP (something proven to work at the highest level of the game) and one of your students has those stats at DII. Sorry man.

Two Pivot Points Stretching against each other to create an instant Snap of the Barrel. 🔑 Don’t think that HLP is some complicated system. We break the segments apart then combine them into one simple move. From there, your swing decisions will be much more consistent and more importantly, Quicker. #gritnj #gritnjfam

@Teacherman1986 @JoeRoderick He even gets to about the same spot. Granted ortiz was a 86 mph change up and gorman was 99. The only difference is ortiz has his front foot pointing to the short stop. While gormans is at the dugout

Ah yes, more pictures of a swing during a drill where there was no focus of a forward move. (Even though the back leg is pivoting well) The picture actually shows a really good hand pivot point lol. Thanks Chris.

@theswingman444 @gritnj It needs to look more like this… Make sure to anchor that back foot in the ground as the elbow gets slotted. Snap!!!
