Phase One of the opening of the @PaddockChevy Ice Arena is underway. The ice surface is ready, and this week we are accommodating limited rentals so we can make sure all our operations are fine-tuned and everything is working properly.

The Youth Parks and Recreation office, 299 Decatur Rd. will be open until 7:00 pm on Mondays starting today, April 15. Stop in and register for upcoming Spring and Summer programs!

FYI: The Aquatic & Fitness Center pool will be closed this Saturday and Sunday for an Aquettes meet. The gym will be open for normal operational hours. @TonawandaYPR

The @GibbyGroup has been hired by @TownofTonawanda and @TonawandaYPR to sell sponsorships at the new Paddock Chevrolet Ice Arena. I recently toured the facility and it looks great.

All Town facilities, including the Aquatic & Fitness Center, @PaddockChevy Golf Dome, Brighton Arena, and Lincoln Athletic Complex will reopen Monday morning on their regular schedule. @TonawandaYPR

Due to the driving ban still in effect for all of Erie County, all of our Town facilities remain closed. We will have an announcement as to when they will reopen, once the driving ban is lifted. Thank you.

Town Supervisor @joeemmingerr has declared a State of Emergency effective at 2pm today. All Town facilities will close at 6pm. They are scheduled to reopen at Noon, Sunday. The Town is following the Erie County driving ban from 9pm tonight to 6am Sunday.

The new Lincoln Park Athletic Complex opens this weekend. Contact @TonawandaYPR for information on how to schedule the venue for your team.

Town Supervisor @joeemmingerr @TheKentonBee column The town’s @TonawandaYPR enhancement project will achieve several milestones this year. Next week we expect the Lincoln Field House project to be open. This will be an ideal facility for sports teams of all ages.

The Holiday Toy Drive begins today. Thank you for supporting @TonawandaYPR by making the season bright for deserving boys and girls.

Crews have made remarkable progress in the last 30 days on the future Paddock Park Enhancement Project. Aerial view shows sod has been laid on the rugby/soccer pitch. Work is also moving ahead on the pickle ball courts, volleyball courts, ice arena, and spray park. @TonawandaYPR

Traffic Advisory: Brompton Rd. between Parker Blvd. and the Brighton Arena entrance will be reduced to one lane for about a month to allow for construction work on the @TonawandaYPR Enhancement Project. A traffic signal will allow motorists to proceed in one direction at a time.

Updated office hours effective immediately

We are repurposing the boards from Lincoln Arena at Mang Park. Community members will be able to enjoy playing street hockey or roller hockey inside a rink environment. This is part of the YPR Enhancement Project that is converting Lincoln Arena into a fieldhouse.

The Erie County Wind Ensemble is performing tonight at 7pm on the front lawn of the Aquatic & Fitness Center!

Make your plans for the week - tomorrow The After Affect (blues) will be playing and on Wednesday we have Shakespeare in Delaware Park! Both begin at 7:00pm on the front lawn of the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic & Fitness Center.

In case you haven’t noticed, a lot of construction has been going on at the newly named Paddock Chevrolet Park (Brighton Park)! We can't wait for these new recreation amenities to be ready for our community to use in 2024.
