While Pritzker’s SAFE-T Act lets repeat criminals walk free, with nearly 20% of Chicago felony arrests now involving repeat offenders already on pretrial release, Illinois prisons are riddled with deadly drugs and violence. An approved vendor smuggled $500,000 worth of drugs hidden inside a children’s book into Robinson Correctional Center. One inmate died from fentanyl. Three guards were stabbed. Senator Chapin Rose just eviscerated the Pritzker administration in committee. A state audit exposed over 40 major failures at the Department of Corrections. This broken system endangers staff and inmates inside, while leaving Illinois families unsafe on our streets. The deadly incompetence ends now.

In 1960, more than half of 30-year-olds were both married and homeowners. Today, it’s roughly one in eight. The share of married young adults (25-34) collapsed from 59% in 1990 to 39% by 2021. The typical first-time homebuyer is now 38 years old, up from 33 in 2020. A spouse and a deed used to define the average 30-year-old. Now, they describe a shrinking minority.

Plenty of hand-wringing going on after the #Bears draft. That's not entirely unlike a year ago. How about we see how this all plays out? chicagotribune.com/2026/04/25/chi…

We're seeing prediction market corruption more and more in the federal government. Donald Trump thinks it's ok to cheat, but I won't allow it in state government.

Illinois Gov. @JBPritzker does an excellent job of explaining the need to tax social media companies so that they pay for the very serious harms their extractive business model is imposing on society. Good question from @LuluGNavarro & great answer from Pritzker. Impressive.

Of all the data to follow as an investor, the 10-year bond yield is the most important. A 10 basis point move down today is massive, and a huge relief. It should provide more comfort and confidence to leg back into risk assets. Breaking the month-long march higher is crucial.
