Rather than justifying the gross carnality of your favorite politician as part of God’s cosmic plan, what if we realized His plan was actually accomplished in Christ? That the whole system of control, greed and war - the oppression of human government - is part of the fallen order that is ever fading into obscurity in the ever-increasing Light of Christ? God may work within our chaos, but He doesn’t “send” or “use” politicians. The “plan” was for the King Himself to come (as Servant) to overmaster human hearts by the reign of transformative love. We no longer live amongst types and shadows: Nebuchadnezzar, Cyrus or Darius. We defend the need to engage a system we think runs parallel to the Kingdom, but in fact has always run contrary to the Kingdom.

Last year former Conservative MP Andrew Brigden made some very controversial claims. Now Gordon Brown has come out and said that he had discovered evidence of Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking network in Britain, with girls arriving at Stansted airport from Latvia, Lithuania and Russia. Writing in the New Statesman, the former prime minister said “at least one” of these flights was linked to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Looks like Andrew Brigden may have been telling the truth but nobody listened.
