@LueyeA I’ve seen quite a few VC funded businesses in Africa ending up with unsustainable cost structures, then failing to survive in markets where prices and margins are low. Doesn’t happen when you bootstrap. Big part of the product market fit I think.

Our start up environment encourages success by bootstrapping your business. The companies with the right product market fit will see real success, those without will leave the market w/o the crutch of funding from VCs.

The extreme association of start-up ecosystem in #Africa with raising is misleading. In case of #Ethiopia there are a lot of start-ups funded by founders and friends performing good on traction compared to many highly funded ones. With better funding they will do miracles.
