“Execution” is on my list of words that I strongly dislike. “Execution” suggests that all of the complexity is sorted and the hard decisions are already made. Just rigidly carry out the steps required without thinking. Nope.

When it comes to product, "management" and "ownership" are popular terms. What we don't hear as much is "execution." Execution requires going further than saying what *should* be done. It means making trade-offs about what *can* be done under the constraints we have.

Folks say "don't call it a transformation" because there is no end state. I think this misses the point somewhat. "Agile transformation" doesn't imply a fixed ending. It's about transforming from rigid structures and processes to collaborative networks and continuous learning.

@neil_killick Yes, I agree Neil, but have struggled with this for a long time for the same point. I now describe it as change, moving away from ineffective structures, practices, etc. toward better ones, with continuous improvement at the centre.

I mean it's not surprising, but it is depressing how you can post "don't meetings suck" on this or LinkedIn and get 10000 likes and comments but post "organizations should support reproductive rights" and ... crickets. Not even dissent, just duck and cover.
