Tottenham born boy. It's in the blood, always will be, despite them 😅.
Spurs in Surrey Katılım Şubat 2016

The stadium should have been the springboard for Spurs, not the thing that quietly pulled them backwards.
Everything about it was meant to elevate the club to the next level. Bigger revenues, bigger profile, bigger pull. But instead of using that as a platform to sustain and build on what was already there, it became the centre of gravity that everything else bent around, particularly the squad.
If you look at Arsenal, they treated their stadium as a financial constraint they had to manage around, not something that overrode the football side completely. During the Wenger era they did not buy the very top tier consistently, but they bought enough quality to stay competitive and within touching distance. That kept standards high and prevented a real drop off.
Spurs have not managed anything close to that balance. The stadium became the central focus rather than one part of a broader strategy. Instead of protecting the quality of the squad while managing costs, the football side has been allowed to slide.
What is frustrating is that it was half working. With players like Kane and Son, there was a clear base to build from. It did not need a revolution, just steady, intelligent investment to maintain that level. Instead, the squad has gradually weakened and the gap has widened.
Arsenal absorbed the hit but stayed relevant. Spurs have absorbed the hit and drifted. That is the real issue.

@Ben_White86 @josh_wiggan All a “Perfect” fit for the championship.
English

@josh_wiggan I dont think we have to replace everyone - theyre all under contract so they cant go unless we agree to sell them and we'd recoup enough from the high earners to not have to sell if we dont want to.
I think Gray, Bergvall, Odobert, Solanke, Richie, Danso, Spence would all stay.
English

Probably not we will have to buy 15 players, a new coach a new DoF all in a world cup year
HotspurReports.@hotspurreports
Do you think Spurs will come straight back up if we go down?
English

@winster1972 Agree but those you mention to stay should be squad only atm.
English

Look at Forest starting 11 and you see Elliott Anderson, Sangare & MGW. Let’s be clear, that CM trio is miles better than ours. More balanced and more quality. Hudson-Odoi as good, if not better than Tel. It’s insane how far we’ve fallen #THFC
English

@RootsSpurs As soon as he came out with " I own the jail" shite you knew we were in trouble
English

@craigieboy2021 All season we've looked like a team of stranger's. We have far too many players with no real football intelligence, either so limited in ability and/or selfish at crucial moments in the odd passing move.
English

@TonyKelly62 Anything to do with every manager being so negative in big games not willing to use a number 10 and create anything? Just structure and boring
English

@Crowleys020922 Downgrade FC. This all started years ago as far back as Rose and Walker going to the press on the eve of a cup (semi ?)- final under Poch. They all knew back then , there was zero ambition from the owners to push on. They always stalled any real progress.

A Plea to Tottenham Fans
📣
The community, togetherness and excitement fostered by a few like-minded Tottenham fans coming together at the end of last week has been so heartwarming.
The dedication so many have shown to do literally anything they can to drag our Club to safety all while holding down jobs and family life away from N17 has been so incredibly inspiring.
And the reception this drive has been met with in the last week - by the Club, the players and you, the Tottenham Hotspur faithful - has been greater than we could ever have imagined.
I could write all day about how special the pre-match scenes will be tomorrow. Or about how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to work with so many driven and talented people. But you’ve read enough about that, and you will absolutely love what’s to come tomorrow.
The point of this particular gobbet of the twittersphere is simply to ask of you all one thing:
Do not let the noise drop when the gates shut behind that team coach. Or at all.
We can all recall many occasions where the pre-match atmosphere in Tottenham has been electric; all for a stagnant first half or an early opposition goal to stifle it, causing groans and silence to fall across the new ground. This cannot happen tomorrow. It cannot.
You are all needed for every second of the remainder of this season, irrespective of scoreline or circumstance. The alternative is too grim to consider.
Please join us in the South Stand concourse after the coach meet tomorrow. Continue the songs, take that noise up another level. And most importantly of all, take it to your seat.
If we start well: sing.
If we start flat: sing.
If we score: sing.
If we concede: sing louder.
All this work, all this energy… it cannot be for nothing if the game isn’t going how we want. Put your words into action - sing up, stay up.
Let’s fight together. Enjoy tomorrow, you all deserve it.
Come On You Spurs.
All together, always 🤍

@ROTS1882 ..ck em all, ..ck em all, yantd, West ham Lvrpl, cause we are the Tottenham and we are the best, we are the Tottenham so ..ck all the rest. ..ck em all, ..ck em all 👊

If you’re not already fired up for tomorrow, listen to this. I’m fuming.
Listen to what these ex-players and pundits think about our chances. Listen to what they think about our fanbase. Listen to what they say our reaction will be if we go 1–0 down. Literally sniggering at us.
They seem to think our players are going to hate playing in that stadium tomorrow and that we will make it toxic.
Honestly, after hearing that, I’ve never been more determined to show everyone exactly who we are.
We are the Tottenham,
And we are the best,
We are the Tottenham,
So fuck all the rest.

@TonyKelly62 I don’t want to comment too much more, but you your on to something
Daddy got his son thinking he has made it 👍🏾

If people can’t appreciate a point at Anfield with those players, then Spurs deserve to go down. I have seen VDV try to relegate Spurs with his own bare hands and drag others down with his attitude and application.
No player has let this club down or played as poorly as him in defence recently but yet like the owners fans of this club are determined to send this club down.
I will always back players trying at their ends of the capacity, over players that think they above the club and playing for Tottenham is a burden. VDV is miles better than Dragusin but right now you wouldn’t know it.
Some of the fans are young and just don’t get it, others think Tottenham are too good to have players like Dragusin when in reality the best CB at the club plays in Germany atm on current form. This need to tarnish players, players you need is baffling.

@bluemaccaEFC @premierleague @UEFAcom @FIFAcom Don't include Tottenham in that group. Our chairman used PSR FFP as a trophy he was proud of for year's, even though there was huge headroom to spend. PSR/FFP and our owners Enic = 😬🏆 Citeh/Cheats = 🤣 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
English

I don't trust anything about the @premierleague @UEFAcom and @FIFAcom
I don't trust Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal or Spurs.
They all need investigation.
From the moment those clubs signed up to the ESL, football has been dominated by these cheats.
English

@_Brian72 I thought exactly the same. Dear oh dear what a pratt
