@LVHoosierGK You're looking for that in a freshman/sophmore in HS? I would think you would be looking for soccer IQ, how they play with and without the ball, character / culture and work ethic.

Parents: College coaches are not recruiting your kid based on what is at the camp in terms of talent. They are recruiting players that can compete against their current players and who they will be competing against during the season. So do not get sucked into the “she/he did very well at camp and was easily one of the top players there” narrative. The competition is the current roster. Not other campers. Can they compete against college aged players and are they better than current players on their roster? That is their thought process. Take it from a former college coach who ran ID Camps for 22 years.

@Coach_E_P @Coach_Jerm2006 At the US Soccer, they should limit how to use the term Academy. The 8-10 year old s should be called something else, Junior's or something similar. Make it easy by calling the league levels what they are, local level, area level, regional level, and national level.
