INEC vs ADC: Status Quo Ante Bellum Means Peaceful Period Before Controversy - Amupitan The preservatory orders of the Court of Appeal on the ADC leadership case were clear: proceed with the case expeditiously, maintain status quo ante bellum, and refrain from actions that would foist a fait accompli on the trial court or render proceedings nugatory. After reviewing the pending motion at the Federal High Court, allowing INEC to monitor the David Mark-led ADC congress would breach the court's judgement. INEC hasn't taken sides; we considered complaints from both sides. Status quo ante bellum means the status before hostilities started.
