Limerick played better but Clare will be kicking themselves. Missed McCarthy and Rogers easy goals and missed frees. Best team won though. 6 in a row, some team

@sheikhbarabas @robmulcahy3 @CahairOKane1 Anecdotally would have thought this to be the case but those stats lay out a much bigger issue than I thought. Surely a major rethink needed on young development squads and county teams. What's the purpose of them?Players should be developed in their club for as long as possible

It is widely accepted by those involved in all areas of 2nd level education that the Junior Cycle has not worked. I have not met anyone that speaks about it in a positive manner since before Covid and they were usually involved in CPD. irishtimes.com/opinion/2024/0…

@ianguinan1 @NoelHolohan I agree with you Ian , my main point is the system shouldn't have Joe Mac teams coming into the Liam Mcarthy all Ireland series by any means in the same season.

@Tonydmurphy @NoelHolohan Sure what sense would it make giving them another chance at trying to win against the bigger teams if you can get through after 5 games that's tough luck , and if you want to make comparisons why can't kerry hurl in Munster and offaly & laois in leinster if galway & antrim can

Joe McDonagh winners and losers getting a shot an All ireland quarter final spot, while Waterford and Galway bite the dust. Should be Top four in each province into the quarter finals 1/2

@ItchyCheeks6 @NoelHolohan But what sense does it make to do it in the same year? If you win Joe Mac you earn the right to play Liam Mcarthy the following season. The losers or winners of the Joe Mc still being in with a chance of winning the Liam Mac in the same season is non-sensical IMO.

@Tonydmurphy @NoelHolohan Offaly drew with wexford in the league, down in Wexford aswel. And both Offaly and Laois would give Carlow and Antrim a serious game. Might be a different competition but the standard to compete in the Leinster championship isn’t a million miles away

For weeks RTE & GAA have received criticism for their lack of hurling coverage. So @TheSundayGame showing just 10 seconds of Wexford game seems very pointed & a "fuck you" to the critics. Beyond belief that a producer would think their Leinster hurling coverage was sufficient

It wasn't TDB like Canning is saying? It was on the line then It happened after that. Who put it out, Duggan or Fitzgerald? Very hard to say

@ShaneSaint Kieran Joyce a fabulous hurler but the middle of their defence was better without him at CB and with Downey there , be very surprised if Joyce goes back there for the last round or beyond if he's back

If Cork played like this every day (assuming they can keep it up for 70 minutes), they’d be tough to stop! And this without Ciaran Joyce and Robbie O’Flynn

Vouchers should have been given to parents for the book scheme. Instead, big corporations and big publishers win tenders & e-contacts, killing small book stores like this. This needs to be changed
School Books Ireland@schoolbooksirl

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness, we announce that we will cease trading on Friday May 3rd. Due to the implementation of the free book scheme, increased costs of running a business and a decrease in footfall, it is simply no longer viable for us to continue. #newross

A fitting tribute to Aidan Sinnott on @TheSundayGame Live. A true gentleman, a great colleague & someone who epitomises public service broadcasting. We will miss Aidan, always a pleasure to meet & chat. One of the many great people who keeps us on air, that the viewer never sees

@SmallerFishGAA Great finish after at least 10 steps , this rule doesn't apply to inter County apparently- you go to a club game and some refs blow left right and centre for it
