When my dad passed away at the end of January, we were cleaning up his apartment and found a couple of beers in the fridge. I took them and planned to have them on a special occasion. Opening night of the playoffs is a special occasion. We always talked Islanders. Cheers Dad.

@D_billsfan I am so sorry. I lost my mom this past January and it’s not easy. The toughest part for me was when something exciting happened and I went to call her but then remembered “oh yeah…” That was a gut punch. Hopefully those moments don’t blindside you. Sending lots of love & hugs.

Here’s my position. Isles have 7 games (5 at home in a row) between now and April 1. It’s there for the taking. Take it. If they don’t, they don’t deserve to make it.

Got some terrible news today. My friend Katie (far right) cracked her head open. She had swelling in her brain and they had to remove part of her skull and she was put into a medically induced coma. I just found out that she is being taken off the life-support Monday.

@NHL_Muse I would take the elite defenseman but that’s me. Look at the history of the NHL and more often than not you need at least one elite defender to win the Stanley Cup. Plus it’s a lot easier to find very good forwards than it is to find very good D men.
