@mufaddal_vohra When you have 67-2 after 7 overs you need to fire from both sides but #NamanDheer played safe which is not modern day cricket. Imagine he hitting 4-5 6s in that period. Dheer may not be the only reason but he certainly is one of the reasons why MI didn't score 2020+.

@prasannalara Well the real problem with @mipaltan players are most of them are not fighting for their spot in the team. Surya, Tilak & even Hardik are playing to maintain status quo. They don't have selection problem. Santner is the Kiwi captain, Boult & chahar r retired.

Many would prefer Ashwani Kumar over Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur. Thoughts ?

Rajat Patidar who is a 32–year-old but bats with the tempo of Soouavanshi and Priyansh Arya! And that too in the middle overs and not in power play. Skill never goes out of fashion and age is just a number perhaps.

The lack of wickets narrative for Bumrah can hamper the teams cause! Him nailing yorkers and choking the opposition for every single run is even more important than him looking to get wickets, especially in venues like the Wankhede. When you can’t bowl overs on the trot, your wicket taking ability depends on your partners who hand the over to you. We have had so many years of T 20 cricket now & bowling in partnerships as a defensive group is still a seed in the minds of bowling groups. Suryakumar Yadav is on decline and struggling with form for last 2 years and it's a high time for Rajat Patidar to replace him. Patidar is fearless, he plays proper short and t20 cricket doens't need a captain, surya is simply wasting one place.

Cricket gyaan: not for the first time in last few years, Mumbai Indians @mipaltan have high class players all over their squad but just don’t seem to have the right combo for now. Jacks and De Kock yet to get a game, bowling over-dependent on Bumrah, makes you wonder: big money splashed once again without a clear strategy?
