How hard is it to simply acknowledge that the Ganga River is sacred to Hindus, and that basic respect should be maintained around it? Instead, they are equating a religious last rite like immersing ashes in the Ganga with eating chicken & throwing it into the river, labeling both as “non-veg,” as if the difference isn’t obvious. Since when has human cremation ever been reduced to a “non-veg” category ? Well this is the mindset of so-called secularists...

Khamenei was killed on February 28th. He was the political head of Iran and religious head of Shiates across the world. Etiquette demands that our Prime Minister immediately convey his condolences. I don't know whether our Prime Minister has conveyed condolences so far. Vikram Misri, our foreign secretary offered condolences only on March 5th. Once Iran started attacking infrastructure in gulf countries, our Prime Minister called head of each country and conveyed India's concern. But he never called and conveyed concern when around 170 innocent girl children were killed in Iran by US bombings. And BJP supporters started glorifying that India has taken a side in the war. India's neutrality is it's biggest strength. We are going to gain zilch by being identified as an US supporter. Even NATO countries condemned school attack. Even Pakistan offered condolences for Khamenei's death. It is perfectly fine to have good relationship with US and Israel. But avoiding even basic etiquette to countries inimical to them is not good for us. An enemy of Israel and US is not an enemy of India. We need to define our relationship with each country based on our self interest and national priorities. It doesn't matter whether that country is a friend or enemy of US. Already US is fighting Israel's war which in my view is a most stupid decision. There is no need for us to take any sides.

@JaidevJamwal People who have never visited Meghalaya, know the local food habit and socio-religious practices, and are happy to believe that their religion is in danger, will happily believe this piece of fiction.

A few years back, I was in Garo Hills (Meghalaya) in a taxi driven by a muslim. In one remote tribal village, he saw skin of a recently slaughtered calf, smirked and said something like (paraphrasing here) that the villagers will eat well tonight. Next day, I bought some home brewed liquor and asked if he liked it. He visibly recoiled and said that even if a drop fell on him, it'd be as good as cutting off that body part. On a related note, he was using a religion neutral name all the time. Original Meghalayans have my full support in whatever they're doing against these invaders.

I wanted to wait before posting to be sure about the infamous juicystar1908. But after the juicystar account was tied to a Reddit post under the same handle — which was later deleted — I think it’s fair to say with a high degree of confidence this is the same person. It appears a divorce from someone of Indian origin may have sparked an incredible amount of resentment toward an entire community. Instead of processing that privately, it looks like she piggybacked on anti-Indian sentiment on X to channel that anger. Whatever the personal story is, targeting entire communities because of your own failed relationship is pathetic. Doxxing countless people and boasting about ties to immigration officers to intimidate H-1B holders of Indian origin — trying to scare them into submission or make them feel inferior — is deeply demeaning. Karma has a funny way of catching up. Don’t be a Juicystar. On a side note, I do wish her the best and hope she eventually finds her way out of that dark place. Maybe one day she’ll become a real juicy star.
