When Sophie was little, there was a Dodger game on the tv. I said to her, “Do you hear that man on the television? He used to put me to sleep when I was your age.” She said, “That man was your babysitter?” I paused for a moment and said, “Yes, in many ways he was.” RIP Vin.

Like so many, Vin Scully taught me to love the game. I’m glad I had a chance to meet him and thank him for all he meant to me. And for putting me to sleep so many nights with my little red transistor radio under my pillow.

The honor was all ours!

After 14 years playing the game that I love, I have decided to call it a career. As for what’s next, I have recently accepted a role to become the AAA manager for the Tacoma Rainier’s. I’m am very excited about this opportunity and can’t wait to get started.
