Nein, doch, ooh! Der Tankrabatt ist gerade mal 4 Tage alt und schon wiederholt sich das gleiche Desaster wie vor drei Jahren. Schon wieder enpuppt sich der Tankrabatt als Mrd. schwere Prämie für die Öl-Konzerne. Und alles was diese Regierung anfasst, wie die 12 Uhr Regel oder Kartellprüfungen versanden im nichts oder verschlimmbessern die Situation weiter. Aber das Schlimmste: Anders als vor 3 Jahren hätte man aus Fehlern lernen können, aber Merz, Klingbeil & Co. mussten ja unbedingt 1,6 Mrd. € aus dem Fenster werfen um Verbrenner-Autofahrer homöopathisch zu besänftigen. Die Energiewende wird leichter, als viele denken. Das liegt an einem weitverbreiteten Missverständnis, das Skeptiker ausnutzen, um Angst zu schüren. Denn: Nein, wir müssen das fossile System nicht 1:1 ersetzen. Wir brauchen nicht alle Primärenergie von heute. „Primärenergie“ ist die Energie, die den natürlichen Quellen entnommen wird. Ein Liter Heizöl enthält 10 Kilowattstunden (kWh), ein Kilogramm Steinkohle 8 kWh usw. Zurzeit verbraucht die Menschheit global 180.000 TWh Primärenergie. Erneuerbare stellen davon deutlich weniger als zehn Prozent. Um die fünf Prozent. Das ist ein Fakt, aber komplett irreführend. Denn Primärenergie ist ein bedeutungsloses Konzept in einer elektrifizierten Welt. Es sagt uns, wie viel Energie in Energiequellen steckt, bevor wir sie umwandeln. Aber nicht diese Energie ist für uns wichtig, sondern die erzeugte Energie. Wir müssen alle Energiequellen umwandeln, damit sie nützlich werden. Schließlich kippt niemand ein Fass Öl (159 Liter) in seinem Wohnzimmer aus und erwartet, dass es wärmer wird. Und bei der Umwandlung sind elektrische Systeme deutlich effizienter als fossile. Jede kWh Energie, die wir in ein elektrisches System stecken, kommt mit höherer Wahrscheinlichkeit dort an, wo wir es verbrauchen wollen: am Rad, im Ofen, in der Wärmepumpe. Der Motor eines E-Autos ist 2-4 mal effizienter als ein Verbrenner, weil er weniger Abwärme erzeugt. Eine Wärmepumpe kann aus 1 kWh Strom bis zu 4 kWh Wärme erzeugen, da sie mit der Umgebungstemperatur arbeitet. Ein Gasboiler wiederum verheizt das Gas und das war’s. Verbrenner-Autos sind eigentlich Heizungen auf Rädern. (AKWs sind gigantische Wasserkocher.) Wer also mit Grafiken vom Primärenergiebedarf herumwedelt und die Energiewende damit kritisieren will, sitzt einem Trugschluss auf. Es ist, als hätten sich die Leute in den 1920ern vor die ersten Autos gestellt und gefragt: „Und? Wie viel Hafer frisst das Ding jeden Tag?“ In Deutschland schmeißen wir wegen der Umwandlungsverluste jedes Jahr mehr als 30 Prozent unserer Primärenergie weg. Weltweit waren es vor der großen Elektrifizierung mehr als 50 Prozent. Mal eine Frage: Gehst du in den Supermarkt, öffnest die Packung mit zehn Eiern, siehst darin drei kaputte Eier und zahlst zufrieden? Du bist ja nicht blöd. Wir als Gesellschaft sind es schon. Wir haben 30 Prozent Verschwendung in unserem System eingebaut und hielten das so lange für normal, wie es keine Alternative gab. Aber jetzt gibt es eine. Wer mit Primärenergie-Charts herumwedelt oder Technologieoffenheit in Deutschland fordert, sagt eigentlich: „Lasst uns weiter verschwenden!“

I’d pencil in some mild concern for around 2600 and see how things look then. Now. The refugees. Since someone asked who’s paying for all this. Let’s follow the money back a bit further. America invaded Afghanistan, spent 20 years there achieving absolutely nothing, then left in such breathtaking chaos that people were literally hanging off aircraft. It then invaded Iraq over weapons that turned out not to exist, killed somewhere between 150,000 and a million people, and converted a functioning country into a sectarian hellscape. This is before we even get to the drones over Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan. The people washing up on European shores are, in very large part, the direct human wreckage of American foreign policy. America created the disaster. Europe is housing the survivors. And America is on the internet asking why Europe keeps letting people in. Remarkable cheek, really. As for eliminating indigenous culture: the United States actually eliminated its indigenous people. Deliberately. With rifles and government paperwork. Europe took in Syrian doctors. These are not comparable situations, and pretending they are requires a truly heroic indifference to history. The culture is fine. France still has the cheese. The Louvre is still there. Bach is still there. Nothing has been eliminated except, apparently, the ability to read a percentage.

Trump last night: „We are helping NATO with Ukraine, so NATO should help the US to keep the Strait of Hormuz open.“ This is a lie. Trump suspended all help to Ukraine with his inauguration. Not a single cent is going to Ukraine. European countries are buying US weapons. This is not helping, this purchasing. When I buy my goods in a store, then the store is not „helping“, it is making business. Trump threatened allies around the globe with invasion and denigrated them at every step, including fallen soldiers in Afghanistan. Putin on the other hand got a pass, received a warm welcome in Alaska and even got sanctions lifted. Those are the facts.

But I just watched a video of ICE officers attack a man who was helping a woman up, pin him on the ground, take his (legally owned) gun he NEVER attempted to holster, and then 6 officers shot him to death. He was white (not important to me but def to MAGA assholes). He was a citizen. He was simply helping another citizen get up. And he was pinned to the ground, disarmed and THEN ecexuted by masked agents working for Donald Trump’s gestapo. Fuck you if you support this.
