The artist said they had been scammed too and that the email thing was legit. They provided me proof of their chat with the "support" after a long pause. They conveniently cropped out the date of this chat. Alan also went quiet for that time because he was on call lmao. 5/6 🧵

Turns out the real scammer was the person who contacted me about this. Word of warning, the account of ttang16666 is compromised. They were the one who contacted me and then acted as X support on discord for me. Posting an informative thread later. This was genuinely *fun*!

Someone has been using my account's avatar and name to scam people. Please, for christ's sake, check their post history and @ first before mass-reporting them!! I might lose even my work account very soon if I can't fix this mess because I'm being threatened with IP ban.
