I cooked eggs in a non-stick pan every morning for 16 years. PFOA and PFAS, the chemicals that make Teflon non-stick, were classified as "likely carcinogenic" by the EPA in 2016. The EU began phasing them out the same year. France, Denmark, and Germany have all banned specific PFAS compounds in cookware since 2020. The United States still sells them in every Target and Walmart. At 260°C (standard pan temperature for cooking eggs), non-stick coatings release particles small enough to cross the gut lining and accumulate in testicular tissue. A 2023 study in Environmental Health Perspectives found PFAS levels in men directly correlated with reduced sperm count and serum testosterone. The pan you cook your "high protein breakfast" in is lowering the testosterone you're eating eggs to raise. Cast iron or nickel free stainless steel types are best. Both cost under $150. And both will outlast you. Your grandmother used them. They didn't invent the problem until 1946, when DuPont commercialized Teflon.

It's totally OK to want to live in a country that is majority ancestral native. No one cares about a few here and there. Growing up, there was one black family in my town, a few Chinese and Indians who ran shops/restaurants. No one gave a shit. But when they become a sizeable proportion of the population, people have every right to not be happy. It was their ancestors who build this nation after all.

I’m really struggling to understand the appeal of Reform. Are people really that offended by black and brown people living in their communities? Has the UK always been this racist and I just never really noticed?
