From that Bruno quotes it’s more like Amorim wanted to leave when he realized or felt the board gave him a more difficult job to, after he was sacked they lowered the expectations when Carrick took over.
They used him as a tool to boot out the players they don’t want and then refused to back him in January. It’s a whole lot when you look at it.
2 points off 3rd, 5 points off 1st isn’t a bad thing for any manager in the world.

@commissionase Carrick tells them what he expects and how they interpret it on the pitch. Look how he put players in their actual positions and we then saw results. Players enjoy playing for Carrick while respecting Amorim

Bruno always tells the truth.. Carrick basically allows them do what they want on the pitch.
"He doesn't tell us where to pass and where to shoot.. He just tells us where we might have spaces".. Meaning Carrick doesn't have a pattern of play or am I missing something?

This time last year we finished 15th and how other clubs laughed at our misfortune. Liverpool won the league . We seemed to be heading that way again then came change of management. Finished 3rd CL qualification. Where’s your sniggering now 🤔

@utdHarryy Not bad for six months . Getting 3rd and CL football is good enough. Sir Alex never always played entertaining football but he got the job done. Carrick got the job done
