@SudsG5 @Toptech500x Power was a lost cause. Lights would dim if the water heater was turned on. Power quality was so bad, TVs needed stabilizers. Garbage disposal was the local garbage heap on the street. Water supply was one hour every morning. Dude is clueless about life just 30 years ago.

WTF is he talking about? Clean air, water and food? All those infants who died of water and food borne diseases for the past 75 years did so out of protest against capitalism or what?

@Toptech500x Modi has given up the idea of reform that causes pain to the bottom 80% in any way. But he still keeps supplying them the samajwadi drugs. Not headed in a great direction

@Toptech500x One Thane-Airoli bridge is coming up. But it will go through a narrow road in Thane East. There was one more planned, but not sure yet.

The city is starving for roads, big and small. It has too few major blood vessels transporting nutrition and energy to the system.

@Toptech500x The examination system (and the education system itself) has grown worse every year. Modi's failure is in not fixing that. Politicians and their fronts run most schools and colleges in India. That's perhaps one reason. But I remember the rot was in many decades ago.

No, you are wrong, sir. I live abroad half of the time. I give talks in universities all the time, and I can explain to you that this is a completely wrong analysis. 1. Most students abroad come from normal houses and are not activists. How do I know? I literally travel there and give talks. I am typing this from Canada right now. 2. The activists who get into these universities join the humanities, and they are not even 1% of the actual Indian students. Yes, hating India and doing all this drama might be a grift for them, but for most Indian students, their visa approval processes are a reality. I live this life. I meet such students. I know how petrified they are of getting anything on their record. My advice is to the 99%, not to the 1%. People are obsessed with that 1% of the humanities crowd because that is what the news covers and what social media algorithms feed them, while most Indian students pursue Computer Science, Data Analytics, MBA, Finance, Mechanical/Civil Engineering, and Medicine.

Incorrect. Fastest way to go abroad and even in politics. Possibly in government institutions and colleges and universities. Badge of honor. But only for smart ones.

@Toptech500x Resignation of Pradhan? Yes. That tells me they didn't really want to fix anything. They wanted a scalp to claim victory. That's where everyone should have seen through it. They should have known they won't get it.

Well - look at her husband/fiance and how he grooms himself - what would you expect Arranged marriage in Tier 1 cities is hardly forced these days - it is good option for career oriented folks - but men need to start work on their grooming, physique etc "The plot follows Salma (Qureshi), a 30-something independent engineer in Lucknow under pressure to marry. She agrees to an arranged marriage with Sikander (Talpade) but finds her life and heart unexpectedly pulled toward another man (Singh) while on a work trip in London, creating a dramatic and humorous love triangle."

@Toptech500x There was no cause. But they thought it would resonate with a large young demographic who can spare time for such events. Didn't work out because they lacked credibility, the whole thing was clearly fake and despite the social media paid campaigns, people didn't really GAF.

Every metro migrant maintains a return-to-hometown plan they will never execute, and the plan is doing its job anyway. The fantasy works like an unexercised option: you tolerate the rent, the commute and the loneliness because you believe exit is always available. The moment you admit you are never going back, the city stops being a phase and becomes your life, which is exactly the admission most people are postponing.
