Being a crypto founder in this market is a mind eff. There is virtually nothing you can do to combat the force of the market. If you share all your catalysts now, it would be like ashes scattered in the wind. If you don’t share the catalysts then people assume that you have given up and have nothing cooking. The CT dopamine feedback loop is what caused “announcements” to be valued more than actual integrations and business progress. It’s partly why we settle for archaic metrics like TPS and TVL. But real business and progress takes time and deliberation. If you are a project from this cycle, you have to just put your head down, take your beating like a man, grind in the trenches, save as much runway as possible, and be irrationally optimistic. Find your niche and seek to dominate it. That’s our plan. InshaAllah.

I'm fairly well-known as a buyback truther. The issue I have with buybacks is not the outcome, DoubleZero has a burn and 0% inflation. Clearly, the outcome is something I think is net good. But the mechanism has problems. It's discretionary for whoever controls the wallet receiving fees. This discretionary nature is a distortion of markets when it's not hard coded. The idea of reducing supply above the rate of inflation is, quite obviously, a good idea though.

The card tap, explained. That card tap isn’t a Visa card. It is an @OpenPasskey card. We hold our own IIN under ISO/IEC 7812, the same registry Visa and Mastercard use to identify issuers. Our card runs the same EMV chip standard as your bank card. Any acquirer that adds our routing entry can accept it on the terminals they already have. No new hardware. The chip signs with a P-256 key that never leaves the secure element. Non-custodial, the customer holds their own keys. Settlement runs on @base flashblocks, so confirmation lands in about 300ms.
