@CS11__ it would be less of a problem if Season 8 felt like a climactic final season in the same way as Breaking Bad, but youll unfortunately see it sticks to the formula to an absolute fault

I think Dexter ending at S8 & taking damn near a decade break was probably a blessing for this character. It’s starting to run it’s course for me. i’m feeling fatigue with this same formula and the same status quo each season.

@CS11__ Exactly what i meant when i say Dexter starts to act out of character as soon as Hannah is introduced. And it doesnt get better..

Putting Hannah on his killing table only to let her go and fuck her instead. THAT IS NOT THE CODE HARRY TAUGHT YOU DEXTER. It’s a little ridiculous. It’s extremely funny. I need to see more of them to decide how I feel about this relationship.

@CS11__ All i'll say is, how you view the Dexter and Hannah relationship will shape your view of the season as a whole I think (and if youve been checking your replies you'll see it's quite a mixed reception lol)

@Torak_34 I’m not looking to find issues with this season but yeah I do imagine this coming, or maybe not. Feels like it has a lot of steam that will run short at some point because the obvious starting storyline

Honestly i think Dexter S7 has the strongest opening run of episodes out of any other season of this show. Which is crazy. S4 was unreal, S1 aswell. From the very beginning. But even they felt like it took a couple episodes to really get things in motion…

@CS11__ a recurring issue with this series is that it played its hand too soon... a lot a lot of interesting characters & ideas werent used properly because they got pushed to their resolution far too quickly

One of the biggest wasted opportunities in all 7 Seasons of Dexter. Mike Anderson. A very intriguing new face in the department from S6. someone who had multiple directions of story potential and they did absolutely nothing with. Then S7E1 kills him immediately. What a shame.
