SOME PREGNANT WOMEN ARE PLAYING WITH THEIR BABY’S LIFE WITHOUT KNOWING 😭💔 You will not eat breakfast… You will not eat lunch… You will now eat one small swallow at 8pm and say, “I’m not really hungry.” But you’re pregnant. You’re carrying a whole human being. Not USB charger. You will feel dizzy like someone that saw alert from EFCC… You will say “maybe my blood is low small.” Your heart will be beating like secondary school assembly drum… You’ll smile and say, “It’s pregnancy.” Your palms will be white like chalk… Your tongue will be pale like agbado water… Your legs weak like NEPA light… And you still won’t go for antenatal. You will be craving ice block, sand, clay, charcoal, Omo, and SpongeBob… You’ll say “maybe it’s pregnancy wahala.” Mama that is ANEMIA knocking boldly. Some of you are walking around with PCV that is lower than your phone battery when it’s on 1%. One small stress and your body will behave like it wants to shut down. Let me tell you: Low blood in pregnancy is not joke. It can make your baby small, it can make your labour difficult, it can make your heart carry load it did not apply for. And when it's time to push, your body will be tired, your baby will be tired, even the nurse will be tired on your behalf. Please, hear word. Eat well. Take your blood tablets. Go for checkups. Stop forming “I’m strong.” Even phone strong pass some of us here. Pregnancy is not the time to be skipping meals and skipping clinic. It’s the time to protect the innocent baby trusting you for life

A woman in labour shouldn't have to wait because her family can't pay the hospital deposit. But in many parts of Africa, that's exactly what happens.
